Stewardship is an invitation to live with joy and gratitude for the blessings you have received.

Many times in scripture we are reminded to be generous with our time, talent and treasure. We are called to take care of others, to share what we have, to return a portion of our gifts  to God. We are reminded to do this with purity of intention and according to our means.

Guided by prayer, each Catholic makes a decision to live out the Christian life as a good steward. This decision is an intentional act intended to thank God for all of His blessings by returning to Him a portion of the time, the talent, and the treasure He has given us.

Every day, God showers the gift of His mercy upon us. Every day! Sometimes we take this gift for granted. We forget to thank God. Other times, we neglect to share His gifts with others. When we do recognize the many blessings in our life, we respond with profound gratitude.

Stewardship means first saying “thank you” to God, and then becoming instruments of His mercy for others. Join me in recommitting to a life of faithful stewardship. I extend this invitation to you as we celebrate Stewardship Sunday, and I  invite everyone in the parish to consider their involvement in the life of the parish.  Through this effort I hope to encourage parishioners to embrace stewardship as a way of life and to assist parishioners in taking ownership of the parish

Stewardship Sunday

Here’s a simple reflection to guide your thoughts and prayer:

  • Open and prepare your heart to receive the gift of God’s mercy.
  • Sincerely thank God for the many gifts He showers upon you.
  •  Identify concrete ways you can share the gift of mercy in our parish, at home or at work.
  • Get involved, be generous and reach out to others in prayer and service.
