Activities Association
The Queen of All Saints Activities Association is open to all men and women of the parish ages 21 and over,who organizes and manages the parish youth athletic programs, sponsors the parish Boys Scouts program, helps out at the Parish Picnic and the Parish Feast Day celebrations and conducts other special projects as called for by the pastor or suggested by the membership. There are no dues charged. Your talents are needed and will be valued in this social, parish wide organization working to support Queen’s “active” youth programs.
Our special fund raisers are the Trivia Night in February, the Ham Shoot in late March, and the Golf Tournament usually in Sept.
Whether you can coach a team, help on projects, help on our fund raisers, or just want to give your opinion, you are definitely encouraged to come to our meetings.
Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month , Sept. through May, at 8:00 pm in the Church Hall. We also provide plenty of food and refreshments.

The Adult Choir is composed of talented, prayerful and dedicated parishioners. They enjoy making music together and leading God’s people in worship. Practices are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. they sing at the 10:30 Mass on Sundays and at other special liturgies. New and enthusiastic members are always welcome. If you are interested in sharing your musical talents with your parish as a choir member or instrumentalist, please give us a call.

The mission of the Adult Faith Formation Ministry (AFFM) at Queen of All Saints Parish is to proclaim Jesus' message by offering and implementing spiritual and educational opportunities that will foster, within the adult, a desire to know his/her faith more seriously whereby he/she embraces discipleship in a community of faith. Through these efforts, the AFFM attempts to encourage and develop the lay leadership within the Church, and strives toward collaborative ministry with other organizations, commissions, and administrative staff.
The AFFM process entails: assessing the needs of the parish; discerning a response to those needs; and calling forth the gifts and talents of its members. The AFFM has offered diocesan sponsored programs such as Catholics Returing Home, Bible Study, Samll Church Communities and seasonal programs during Lent and Advent, and has initiated commissions for Social Concerns and the Adult Resource Center.

This committee does fund-raising mostly outside of the parish in order to support the ministry of caring for our people during time of illness or loss of some kind.

The Ministers of the Altar are a group of responsible boys and girls who have chosen to accept the privilege of serving their parish community and the priest in the celebration of the Mass. Boys and girls who are in the sixth grade in September of the school year are eligible to become altar ministers.
Training consists of an orientation meeting, reading a server's training manual and becoming familiar with the information, followed by 2 one and a half hour practice sessions. Upon successful completion of the training period, the new server will serve his or her first Mass with a "seasoned" or experienced server. Once a server, the boys or girls are encouraged to serve as long as they would like to.
Schedules are made in advance and are sent to each server along with a list of all the servers, as well as being printed in the bulletin a week in advance. It is the server's responsibility to arrange a substitute when unable to serve at the appointed Masses.

Baptismal Preparation
Baptism is the first of the sacraments that we as followers of the Christ receive. It is the first of the Sacraments of Initiation. Because it is so important in the life of a Christian, his or her family, and the whole church, it is important to continue educating our adults on the sacrament. This program is for all parents who are asking to have their children baptized here at Queen of All Saints. If you have attended a preparation program either here or at another parish, you need not attend again. These classes are held on the fourth Wednesday of Jan; Mar; May; July; and Sept. In Nov. it is held on the 3rd. Wednesday of the month. The classes start at 7:00 pm in the Adult Resource Center. We strongly encourage you to attend one of these classes before your child is born.

Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 662, jointly sponsored by the Activity Association and Knights of Columbus, was chartered in April, 1990. Their program runs year round with a regular schedule of troop meetings, camp outs, hikes, and other activities. Their objective is to bring the features of the national scouting program to scouting age boys in the parish. This includes opportunities to make friends, learn outdoor skills, participate in service projects, develop leadership skills and have fun.
Scouting is open to all boys ages 11-17 and we invite all boys in that age group to join us for fun and adventure.

A MINISTRY OF COMPASSION AND RECONCILIATION
An invitation to non-practicing Catholics to “return Home” to the Catholic Church and resume the active practice of their faith. The CRH team (many are Catholics who have “returned Home”) provides a warm, caring,
and nonjudgmental atmosphere as well as an update of the Catholic faith.
A 6-week evening sessions is offered each year. It begins the second Thursday in January and continues for five consecutive Thursdays. The post-Easter session begins the second Tuesday after Easter, and continues for the following five Tuesdays.
“Catholic Returning Home” sessions provide updated information about the basics of Catholicism in a non-threatening, RCIA-like support group” format.
The sessions are “informational and formational.” Topics of the “six-week”

Session #2 - The Church Today, Changes since Vatican II, Q & A

Celebration Singers
This choir seeks to praise God in a dynamic way, with a focus on contemporary music. This group sings at one weekend liturgy per moth (Mass times very), and this group practices the two Mondays before each liturgy they sing (practices are at 7:30 pm in Church). There are currently about 20 choir members an musicians, and new members are always welcome!

The Christian Initiation Process (R.C.I.A.) is for those non-Catholics interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.
Although no one who attends the sessions is put under any pressure to become Catholic, the Process will assist those individuals who do want to share in the life of the Catholic faith community.
The team is composed of members of Queen of All Saints Parish and the Associate Pastor in cooperation with the pastor.
Sessions are normally held on Monday evenings in the Church Hall or Cafeteria at school from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00p.m.
Parishioners who are willing to share their time, gifts, and talents with this process are most welcome. Ministries include sponsors, hospitality persons, and facilitators.

Go and Make Disciples
The simplest way to say what evangelization means is to follow Pope Paul VI, whose message ON EVANGELIZATION IN THE MODERN WORLD has inspired so much recent thought and activity. We can rephrase his words by saying that evangelizing means this committee seeks to bring the Good News of Jesus into every human situation and seeking to convert individuals and society by the divine power of the Gospel itself. Its essence is the proclamation of salvation in Jesus Christ and the response of a person in faith, both being the work of the spirit of God.
Evangelization must always be directly connected to the Lord Jesus Christ. "There is no true evangelization if the name, the teaching, the promises, the Kingdom and the mystery of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God are not proclaimed."
Our Goals at Queen of all Saints
Goal 1: To bring about in all Catholics such an enthusiasm for their faith that, in living their faith in Jesus, they freely share it with others.
Goal II: To invite all people in the United States, whatever their social or cultural background, to hear the message of salvation in Jesus Christ so they may come to join us in the fullness of the Catholic faith.
Goal III: To foster gospel values in our society, promoting the dignity of the human person, the importance of the family, and the common good of our society, so that our nation may continue to be transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Extra Ordinary Ministers
If the activities of our parish community center around our Eucharist, then the ministers of that celebration truly hold a key position. If the ministers perform their work in a manner that lets people know that they are welcomed and loved, then the Eucharist becomes more and more a center of our community.
A brief training session is provided periodically as new ministers are added. We ask all ministers to be open to volunteering to assist at the Mass they attend. Only Extraordinary Minister Captains, who are responsible for assuring that we have enough ministers at each Mass, are routinely scheduled.
As you get acclimated to your new parish, we would ask that you seriously consider becoming a Extraordinary Minister. We could use the help, and we believe that serving will enrich your appreciation of the Eucharist, and the community in which we live.

Fifty+ Club
The group was organized with the Seniors in mind - a place where they can meet fellow parishioners and friends with whom they can share spiritual, social and daily experiences and be there to support each other.
We meet on the 3rd. Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. Our activities consist of: Mass and Communion in May and November, canned goods collection for St. Vincent de Paul in February and August plus a Christmas collection.
We have day trips, extended trips, potlucks, auctions and various entertainment at the meetings and picnic in the park
We avail ourselves to the Picnic, Feast Day and Donut Sunday committees.

The members of the Finance Council are appointed by the pastor and meet monthly. The Council’s principal duties are to prepare an annual capital and operating budget, review the financial reports, conduct strategic planning, develop internal controls for all parish financial activities including those performed by the parish elementary school, the PSR, and organizations, and oversee maintenance and construction/alteration all parish facilities

Home & School Association
Home and School is an organization open to all parents with children in Queen of All Saints school. The purpose of the organization is:
1. To bring about a close relation between the home and the school so that parents and teachers may communicate and cooperate in the education of our children.
2. To foster the involvement of parents in school activities.
3. To direct and coordinate parental support of Queen of All Saints School through assistance in activities, social functions and fundraisers.

Knights of Columbus
Queen of All Saints Knights of Columbus conduct many activities that benefit the parish, the Catholic Church and many community causes. The Knights of Columbus principles are charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Their activities are focused on youth, community, church, family and the council.
Projects include blood drives, fish, fries, BBQ’s, l Basketball Tournament, youth essay contest, drug awareness poster contest, free throw contest, Road Rally and Valentines Dance. Benefactors include seminarians, deaconate program, Cardinal Glennon Hospital, Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, youth Ministry, QAS elementary school and parish school of religion. The Knights are trustees for the Catholic High School Endowment Fund.
Any Catholic gentlemen over 18 years of age and in good standing with the church is welcome to join. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the church hall.

We are a small group who have a common interest in flowers and can spare the time for planting in the flowerbeds and maintain them through the season by weeding, trimming, watering, etc. We’ve lost some of our members due to infirmities.

The ministry of lectoring plays an important role in the liturgy at Queen of All Saints. Lectors strive to make the scriptures come alive in the hearts of our people every time they proclaim the Word. Lectors are scheduled to read at all Sunday liturgies and holy days, Penance Services, special Prayer Services, and other special feasts. A training program is offered to assist new lectors with the preparation and delivery of the Word. Ongoing formation opportunities are offered to keep lectors abreast of liturgical direction and provide spiritual connections with other members of our ministry.

The liturgies of Queen of All Saints express and celebrate the communal Christian life we share us in our commitment to Christ and gospel values.
The Liturgy Committee coordinates the liturgical celebrations of the parish. The committee consists of clergy, pastoral staff, coordinators of ministries and at large members. They usually meet the 1st. Monday of the month in the rectory.
Members are committed to forming a faith community among themselves through prayer, study, development of communication skills, attendance at monthly meetings, liturgical workshops and days of recollection.
Their ministry includes evaluation of liturgical celebrations, assessment of the needs of this worshiping community and the implementation of the norms of the universal church and the policies of the St. Louis Archdiocese according to the guidelines and directives of Vatican II.

Queen of All Saints Parish is involved with several other groups and churches from the South County area in a group called Metropolitan Congregations United for St. Louis or referred to as MCU. MCU is a faith-based group working to help the entire metropolitan area get help in areas that are often ignored by politicians and other public officers. The overall organization of Metropolitan Congregations United divides the groups and churches into clusters which are usually located in the same geographic area so that they can work together on various projects. The cluster consists of at least eight groups or churches. The cluster that Queen of All Saints belongs to consist of St. Dominic Savio, Zion United Methodist, School Sisters of Notre Dame, Holy Trinity Lutheran, Seven Holy Founders, Mark Eden United Church of Christ.
Group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the rectory basement.

Ministers/Hospitality
The primary function of the Hospitality Ministers is to extend a warm welcome to parishioners and guests as they arrive at church. Ministers help seat people, they take up the collection, they hand out bulletins, and they straighten up the material that is left in the pews (song books and prayer books) after Mass.
Four ministers are assigned to each Mass and they rotate once every four to six weeks with other groups of Hospitality Ministers. Each Minister selects the time of the Mass that he or she wishes to be assigned. A schedule is provided that identifies the Mass time and assigned service date for each Hospitality Minister.
Ministers may be men, women or high school teenagers. New ministers are always welcome. It is an excellent way to meet new people and to be part of our warm and vibrant parish life.

A Peer Ministry Program
The Ministry of Mothers Sharing creates an an awareness of the inner-sacred self, while at the same time teaching new ways to inspire, encourage and affirm each other. Through the process of personal and spiritual growth, women have the opportunity to clarify their values, claim their own giftedness and bring new strengths to their family relationships and to the Christian community.
Objectives:
- To gather mothers together to form a network of mutual support in a chaotic society.
- To provide a group experience of learning, praying and ministering to each other.
- To introduce mothers to opportunities for personal and spritual growth through group dynamics.
- To increase communication skills and use of prayer rituals in daily family life.
- To increase awareness of the community resources and provide opportunities for ministry.

Parish School of Religion(PSR)
Queen of All Saints Parish School of Religion serves the religious educational needs of students in grades 1 through 8 who are enrolled in a public school. Classes are held Wednesdays 6:30-7:45 pm during the school year in the parish school building. An alternatives program of 2 weeks of classes is offered in the summer. Along with these two weeks families are expected to participate in faith sharing activities throughout the year.
Our Parish School of Religion also provides religious education for students who have learning disabilities and need special attention that regular classroom settings may not provide.
Our Catechists are men and women who want to share their faith, who work closely with the Director of Religious Education and are willing to work toward certification as catechists through the Archdiocesan Paul VI Institute.

Pro-Life Apostolate
Respect for life, from conception to natural death, is a right we should all embrace. Challenges, including the Roe vs. Wade decision, euthanasia, physician assisted suicide, cloning--make all of us think twice about the precious gift of life. The pro-life committee seeks to educate, advocate, pray, and witness in those activities concerning life. Pro-life organizers and followers number in the hundreds of thousands nationwide, and through this joint effort, we believe that life does begin at conception, and that everyone has the inalienable right to life, including the unborn child, the elderly, the disabled.

School Board
The purpose of the board is to advise the Pastor and Principal in making policy for the Parish educational programs. The educational programs include the elementary (full-time) school, the parish school of religion, the adult faith development programs, and other formal education activities.
The following are the functions of the board:
a. establish the philosophy and goals for the educational programs;
b. interpreting and applying the policies of the Archdiocese;
c. formulating additional policies which may be necessary;
d. evaluating the implementation of policies;
e. approving the budget to be recommended to the Parish Finance and Administration Committee and/or the Pastor;
f. recommending to the Pastor the employment of the Principal, CRE;
g. long-range planning and community relations.
Besides the ex-officio members the nine members are either appointed or elected. It alternates from one year to the next. The first year two are elected and one is appointed by the Pastor. The next year one is elected and two are appointed by the Pastor and the and the next year it goes back to two elected and one appointed.

They came together with all of the musicians of the parish to sing at the Advent (ure), the Advent concert/prayer service and also had a fun time singing a concert at Christmas time during the Way of the Lights at Our Lady of the Snows.
The Seraphim Singers have their own Song Leaders and Cantors too! Our Song leaders are singers who possess good vocal skills, who invite the assembly to sing the hymns during Mass. Cantors are singers who proclaim the Psalms during the Liturgy of the Word. The cantors and Song Leaders take their role very seriously by having extra weekly rehearsals to learn their role of singing the Psalms and animating the assembly with sung prayer. Extra vocal training is encouraged for those who enter this special ministry.
The Seraphim Singers Choir is always open to having new members. We could really use some boys to join the choir. If you would like to join the choir, come to a rehearsal and bring a friend. The Seraphim Singers meet on Monday afternoons at 4:30 for practice in the church.

The roots of the parish social mission lie in the Scriptures, especially in the Hebrew prophets and the Gospel accounts of Jesus' life and words. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah, saying, we are called to "bring good news to the poor, liberty to captives, new sight to the blind, and set the downtrodden free." As Church, social justice is an integral part of our evangelization efforts.
Goals of the Social Concerns Commission at Queen of All Saints:
The Social Concerns Commission has adopted a four sided model of action:
1. Education: Includes studying social dimensions of scripture and church teachings and increasing awareness in the parish of our call and opportunities to respond to justice issues.
2. Direct Service: The commission supports current efforts of charity and challenges continued response to meet human needs locally and globally.
3. Advocacy: Catholic teaching calls us to promote justice by trying to change social structures which deny humans their dignity and rights as children of God. We try to promote political responsibility by becoming informed and active citizens, demanding respect for the vulnerable of our society...both born and unborn.
4. Community organizing: The commission aspires for our parish to join with other churches, both in our community and neighboring communities, to address critical community issues, and bridge barriers of race, religion, culture, and economic status.

Spirit Singers
The Spirit Singers are a small group of trained adult singers and instrumentalists using a combination of contemporary and traditional hymnody to help the worship community fully participate in and experience the Liturgy. This group currently has ten vocalists and various musicians. The Spirit Singers sing one time a month at various Mass times.

The Queen of All Saints Conference has been active since February 1991. Assistance is being given to several people in our own neighborhood as well as extended financial support to other conferences when requested funds are available. The society helps with food, clothing, utility assistance, medical needs, and many other needs. The members go out in pairs to visit their clients, assess their needs, and seek ways to respond. The society represents the members of the parish in bringing Christ to all people, regardless of race, color or creed.
We rely on the generous donations of money, food, furniture and clothing from the members of the parish. If you are interested in helping, either in person or in donations, feel free to join us. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers, both for us and for those we serve. We're counting on your support.

Stewardship Committee
To help our community answer God’s instruction to be responsible stewards of His gifts, this committee coordinates the Archdiocesan progarm “Stewardship - A Way of Life” for our parish. A nationally recognized model, the program is a comprehensive, spiritually based approach to stewardship that promotes all aspects of returning our gifts to God. Committee memebers help foster parish development and individual spiritual growth by promoting awareness of our baptismal call to give gratitude to God through the use of our time, talent and treasure. We serve as a resource to other parish organizations to promote membership renewal, help parishioners use their individual talents in the service of God and help meet its financial needs.
From the disciples, generations before us have built the church through generous giving of their God-given gifts. We strive to follow in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By living as stewards we not only listen to God’s words, we do His work.

Variety Guild
The Variety Guild is an organization founded for the purpose of gathering together people who are interested in entertainment. People who are willing to use their talents to put together a show each year for the benefit of our parish are encouraged and welcomed to join in.

Welcoming Committee
QAS has an active welcoming committee. Our mission statement is as follows:
The welcoming committee is called as disciples to embrace and engage our new parishioners into the faith community of QAS. Through this ministry, we wish to nurture an ongoing atmosphere that is open, active and inviting. We strive to initiate an environment which will offer a sense of belonging, spiritual growth and unity.
Our goals are as follows:
I.To establish procedures for welcoming new parishioners
II. To host gatherings to help our newcomers become acquainted with and welcomed by the parish.
Currently, to serve our main goals, we host welcoming receptions for new parishioners approximately 4 times a year, as well as participate in the Holy Saturday reception. During these receptions we share information about our parish, introduce the families to other members and give out welcome baskets. Our baskets include a framed house blessing, bread - as a sign of unity, and seeds - as a sign of God’s creation and our hope for their faith growth in our community.
We are continually updating our processes and looking for new members to join our committee. We have over 20 members on our current committee list. The group normally has meetings 4 to 5 times a year and participates in other parish events, most notably during the Lenten Season.

Youth Choir
Since music is such an integral part of a teen’s life, it is a teen’s way of giving thanks and praise to God in Eucharist. The Youth Choir at Queen of All Saints is a group of youth who love making music together. The Youth Choir sings at Mass two times a month alternating Mass times and gets together on Sunday evenings for practice at 7:00 p.m.
We invite those teens who play a musical instrument to bring their talent to this choir. We are in need of guitarists, woodwind players, percussionists and singers. We sure could use some guys!!! Our teens are what makes the choir ROCK! Youth Choir is open to kids in 8th grade through college. To open the eyes and hearts of our High School Teens, to the awesome presence of God in their daily lives through Prayer, Service and Fun
- Celebration of the Mass on the first Sunday of the month at Noon followed by our meeting.
- Service activities include: Food collection for St. Vincent de Paul, St. Patrick’s Center, Project Life, Homeless Project, various parish centered events, etc.
- Inspirational spiritual activities include Mass, YES (Youth Enlightened by the Spirit) Thursday night prayer group 7:30-9:00pm, Life Matters- Washington, D.C., retreat, Mass and Munch while visiting other Catholic Churches; Steubenville-Youth Conference, and opportunities for spiritual growth and development.
- Social activities include: Lock-in, Pool parties, Six Flags, Float Trip, Cosmic Bowling, etc.
All youth of the parish are welcome and encouraged to participate in Mass, meetings or events.. All current activities are listed in the bulletin.
